As rumors about Apple’s iPad 2 is never going to stop till it is launched, now the new buzz is that iPad 2 would be provided with NFC (near-field communication) and RFID (radio-frequency ID) technologies that are crucial for enabling wireless communication between two devices that are within 10cms distance.

The NFC technology could be the next big thing in the handheld devices like smartphones and tablet computers as it is increasing being adopted in such devices for easy making payments.

Recently, even Starbucks came up with such payment system across its select shops. The technology makes it easy for the users to hold and pay virtual cash.

The next feature expected in the Apple’s iPad 2 is that the device is expected to have a 7 inches touch-screen while the first version has 9.7 inches multi-touch display with resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels. The screen has a LED backlighting and is safeguarded with scratch-resistant coating.

Apple usually launches its new devices during summer. It is quite natural to expect that the highly successful iPad to be followed by a second version.
