Ansal Properties and Infrastructure, real estate major, declared on Wednesday, August 20 that it is going to spend Rs 3,600 Crore for developing a 270 acre special economic zone (SEZ) and parks across India. The Ansal Properties issued a statement, which informed that the proposed SEZ will comprise an IT zone, commercial zone, residential zone and a recreational area.

 

Ansal API Vice-Chairman and MD, Pranav Ansal, said, ’These SEZ are aimed at growing IT and ITES companies who are choosing to set up centres in adjoining area of Tier I cities in view of global economic pressure to reduce costs and maximize returns.’ The IT SEZ and IT Park created by Ansal Properties and Infrastructure will be called 'The Campus' and 'Net City' respectively.

 

The proposed IT or ITES SEZs project will come up in Greater Noida, Gurgaon and Mumbai. ‘Construction for some of the projects has already commenced and they are expected to be completed in the next five to seven years,’ the statement issued by Ansal Properties and Infrastructure informed.
