Anjali Bhagwat and Avneet Kaur Sidhu, ace shooters from India, could not qualify for the final round of the Women's 10 metre air rifle event held on Saturday, August 9 at the Beijing Shooting Range Hall. With a score of 393 (99, 99, 97, 98), Anjali Bhagwat secured the 29th place.

 

Avneet Kaur Sidhu was 10 places further down with a score of 389 (98, 100, 96, 95). The topper in this qualification round was Emmons Katerina of Czech Republic, who shot a world record equaling 400. Lioubov Galnika of Russia came second and Snjezana Pejcic of Croartia third with a similar score of 399.
