Even though the 55th National Awards Ceremony has been postponed due to the sudden death of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, according to reports, “Gandhi My father, which has been the production venture of Anil Kapoor has grabbed 3 awards.
The movie has fetched the award for Anil Kapoor under the Best Film category. Feroz Abbas has grabbed he award for Best Screenplay whereas Darshan Zariwal has been conferred with the award in the Best supporting actor category.
The film was pitched against movies like Aamir Khan’s ‘Taare Zameen Par’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chak De India’.
Even though speculations are spreading fast, Feroz Abbas Khan, the director of ‘Gandhi My Father’, has commented that it will be unethical to disclose anything before the official announcement.
Since the awards have not been official announced, the winners in the other important categories are still not known. The award winners are reportedly set to be announced on Monday.
