Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie toppled talk show queen Oprah Winfrey to become the most powerful celebrity in the world. Winfrey is now placed at the second spot on the annual Forbes Celebrity 100 Power List. The talk show queen has pocketed $275 million in the last year that enabled her to become the top earner in Forbes listing. All the four spots were grabbed by women with pop stars Madonna and Beyonce following Oprah Winfrey.

 

US golfer Tiger Woods was the topper among the male celebrities, who grabbed the fifth place. Hollywood actor Brad Pitt managed the ninth position on the power celebrity list. Talking about the dominance of women, senior reporter at Forbes, Lacey Rose said that it has been a great year for the women celebrities. The senior reporter added that the top celebrities in the list are mostly tabloid-targeted people who have managed to dominate the news by the virtue of their artistic work.

 

US president Barack Obama managed the 49th position while Simon Cowell grabbed the 25th spot on the Forbes list. Forbes magazine has picked up the powerful celebrities by taking in account the income and global fame of the desired contestants. Actor Hugh Laurie, who appeared in US medical drama 'House', made his first ever appearance in the Forbes power list at 94. Apart from him, other newcomers in the list include Taylor Swift at 69, Toby Keith at 59 and Alec Baldwin at 91.
