Amy Winehouse, the famous English singer-songwriter, was arrested by the London police on Wednesday 7 May on suspicion of drug offences. This happens to be the Winehouse’s second arrest in less than two weeks. This Grammy-winning singer was recently put behind the bars in a London police station on charges of assault but was freed after a warning. Though police officials refrained from providing full information, a statement issued stated that a 24-year-old woman attended a London police station by arrangement at around one p.m. on 7 May.
It further read that she was arrested in connection with alleged possession of a controlled drug. Singer Amy Winehouse was detained in a cell the entire night previous month. She was, however, allowed to go without charge after she accepted assault by hitting a man with her hand. The talented singer’s association with drugs has often loomed large over her career success. As per the newest Times Rich List, Amy Winehouse is worth an estimated 10 million pounds ($20 million).
