The latest movie of Amitabh Bachchan 'Rann' by Ram Gopal Verma is stated to be in a controversy for making message to the society. 

Amitabh Bachchan who is known to be very selective about his film, currently his film 'Rann' is in a controversy for making remarks on social issues. To which filmmaker Ramgopal Varma of 'Rann' defends it by stating he did not make the film to deliver any message to the society or hurt public sentiment.

For further clarification on this issue, he stated, "Through the characters and drama quotients, I am telling a story. And there could be a message underlined in the context of that story. But the primary intention of making this film is to tell a story and not to deliver any message."

Refering to his hit 'Satya' that was portrayed in crime and violence, he stated, "But that does not mean that the intention of the film was to give that message of violence."

According to Verma, here in this film Amitabh Bachchan does not preaches the society and he states "To tell people what they already know is preachy, but Rann tells something which they don't know so it won't be coming in that category."

 

The other noted actors that features in this film are Riteish Deshmukh, Gul Panag, Suchitra Krishnamoorthy and Neetu Chandra. Reportedly, Verma stated the theme of the film in one-line, he said, "If the media exposes everything, Rann exposes the media.”

 

The film slated to be on release on January 29.
