Unable to cool off from the hurt and anger that the tabloid had created by splashing false news report on his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai’s pregnancy, the dear father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan thundered with fury that he won’t appear in 55th Filmfare Award function unless demanded apology are met with.

Recently, Aishwarya had pulled out from an event when she came to know that the tabloid is associated with the event organizer and demanded apology in return.

Bachchans had sent a legal notice to the editor of the tabloid demanding apology for their indecent act by publishing sentimental family issue that is not true in any aspect. Outrageous Amitabh looking at this opportunity of filmfare event took the chance to make the tabloid apologise for the damage they had done, he stated, "We have informed Filmfare that neither will Aishwarya be performing at the event, for which all preparations had been made and neither shall any of us be attending."

The actor stated that he wanted a public apology, the tabloid cannot abuse him in public and then say sorry in private, angry Amitabh stated, "Suffice to say for the moment that despite a few personal apologies from management and owners, no public apology has taken place. You cannot abuse me in public and then come and say sorry to me in private. So, even though we have great relations with the family in ownership and despite the fact that we have continuously responded to their needs whenever desired, unstintingly - the lawyers notice has been delivered to the editor of Mumbai Mirror, seeking on a legal plane retraction and apology.”

Supporting Bachchan family’s stand, even the director R. Balakrishnan who had made ‘Paa’ with Amitabh and Abishek has decided to stay away from the event.

Balakrishnan’s act is just a voluntary decision of solidarity, a thankful Amitabh stated, "Balki, the director of the film, even when 'Paa' has been nominated in five categories for the evening, (is not attending). No coercion, just a voluntary decision of solidarity. Thank you Balki.”

Never know how the event will shine without the famous Big B in the annual grand event of the nation.
