When a movie has powerful names such as that of Madhur Bhandarkar and Amitabh Bachchan associated with it, then there hardly will be anyone who would not want to watch it. Such a thing is now going to happen in reality, with the three-time national film award winning director Madhur Bhandarkar having formally declared that he will be casting Big B in his next film. The two of them infact were full of praises recently in Mumbai when Mr Bachchan was invited to felicitate Madhur Bhandarkar. ‘I have written the script and I will show it to him (Amitabh Bachchan) in a few days,’ said Bhandarkar when queried about this project.

The felicitation ceremony to honor Madhur Bhandarkar was organized following his being presented the national award this year. A jolly looking Amitji said in good humor that every time he met Bhandarkar, the latter would tell him that he wants make a film with him and then go missing for a year. The next thing he (Big B) knew was that Bhandarkar was making a film with someone else. The talented Indian film director who has made Chandni Bar, Page 3, etc. too could not showering compliments on Amitabh Bachchan in return. ‘It’s a great moment for me. It’s an honor having him call me ‘modern Hrishkesh Mukherjee,’ the filmmaker said.
