Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is returning to the small screen after four years. Big B is making his comeback as the host of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ on Colors, sources said.

 

Amitabh Bachchan had gained immense popularity as the host of the first two seasons of the quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.

 

“’Bigg Boss’ is set to get bigger. And Amitabh Bachchan is going to take over as host from Shilpa Shetty, who hosted it last season,” the source said.

 

‘Bigg Boss’ is the Indian version of UK’s popular reality show ‘Big Brother’. The reality show revolves around celebrity contestants who are locked up in a house, with no access to the outside world. The contestants are given different tasks to do, and are monitored by surveillance cameras round the clock.

 

The first two seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’ were a hit among Indian viewers, as they gleefully watched the celebrities try, cry, fight and abuse each other. Arshad Warsi had hosted the first season of ‘Bigg Boss’, while in the second season Bollywood Actress Shilpa Shetty had done the job. The third season of the show will start airing on television around December.
