Amitabh Bachchan Renders Help To Ailing A.K. Hangal
Actor Amitabh Bachchan after getting the news of actor A.K. Hangal’s ill health said that he will be rendering help to the veteran actor who is leading his life in scarcity.
Mr Bachchan wrote on his blog, "It has been sad and unnerving to learn today of the dire condition of one of our most devoted and dedicated character artists of the industry, Mr A.K. Hangal. I came to know of this through the kind offices of the cyber - the net and the social net."
He added, "I have now initiated my office, sitting some distance, to render immediate support and help. As individuals, as fraternity, as humans, that is the least we can do (sic)."
A.K. Hangal is fighting for his life at the age of 95 years and the actor cannot afford his high medical bills. The actor has a 75-year-old son Vijaya and both the father and son have a monthly medical expense of Rs.15, 000 which they can’t afford.
A.K. Hangal has worked with Amitabh in Sholay, Abhimaan and also Sharabi.
