Amitabh Bachchan may be in his 60s, but this has not dimmed his enthusiasm and zest for life. The fact that he is upbeat about exploring newer zones even at this age is really inspiring. After shaking a leg alongside his son Abhishek in films and doing playback singing for his own movies, Big B has now moved on to trying his hands at singing devotional songs. He has recorded the Hindu religious chant, Hanuman Chalisa and is next preparing to do a new musical interpretation of his father's version of the Bhagavad Gita.
‘Divine’ and ‘heavenly' is how the Big B likes to describe Hanuman Chalisa. ‘A new youth-oriented rendition has been on my mind for a very long time. Finally, Aadesh Shrivastava, with whom I've done a lot of singing, has done it. I'd call it his great creative effort,' Amitabh Bachchan said in a recent interview. Though the trailers of Big B’s rendition of the Hanuman Chalisa will be launched in September, he says all those who have heard it have provided a positive response. As far as doing the musical version of Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s Bhagavad Gita is concerned, Big B remarked that the could not think of a better tribute during the centenary year of my father's existence.
