Bachchan expressed his joy in being the brand ambassador of Gujarat. In his statement he said, "I would be happy to lend my face and voice for the cause of Gujarat." He had already been the brand ambassador of Uttar Pradesh.

It was for a special screening of his film 'Paa' for Chief Minister Narendra Modi that the veteran actor came here.

Bachchan extoled at the way development process has taken place in Gujarat and felt it is worth visiting the place again. He exclaimed "If the government planned a documentary to showcase the state, I would like to be a part of it."
