Luke Menard, who made it to the top 16 on this season of the American Idol contest but got voted off in March, has been diagnosed with cancer. This 29 year-old good looker thought he was suffering from a bout of walking pneumonia when medical reports jolted him back to reality. But the good news is that the cancer Hodgkin Lymphoma which Luke Menard has got is described as having a ‘high cure rate’.

 

If luck favors this former American Idol contestant, then his cancer can get treated with radiation therapy or a combination of drugs. At present however Luke Menard is surrounded by family members as well as well wishers. Even Idol winner David Cook and Carly Smithson are reported to have visited Luke who is presently admitted in an LA hospital for treatment. The doctors say that Luke Menard has good chances of survival.
