Amazon is coming with its new brand of consumer electronics, 'AmazonBasics'. The online merchant has already a pool of household brands like Pinzon (kitchen tools), Pike Street (bath products) and Denali (power tolls).
Previously, AmazonBasics had lesser products when compared to others like Wal-Mart, Costco or eBay. It was concentrating more on audio & video products, networking cables and blank discs. However, it is taking a clue from the other online giants to create a label of its own for its vast base of customers.
It is assumed that, now the shoppers rely mostly on the brands for good savings. Thus, this is a good push over effort from the marketer to gain the brand image, so as to earn more profit.
