Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh has named his new bungalow located in upmarket Lucknow after close friend Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The move was highlighted when Amar Singh took the Bachchan family to his recently built posh bungalow in Lucknow’s upmarket Vipul Khand of Gomati Nagar on Saturday night.
The Bachchan family was reportedly directly driven to the new bungalow from Lucknow Airport, where they had dinner and spent the night. On being confronted about the name of the bungalow by a journalist, Amar Singh shot back that Abhishek is like a son to him and Aishwarya a daughter-in-law, hence what is the harm if he has named the house after her. He further remarked that one never knows; in future he may even gift this house to her. The SP general secretary later added that Aishwarya is also another name for Goddess Lakshmi.
