Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh is all set to play the role of a home minister in a Bollywood film. Actor-director Dev Anand has cast Amar Singh in his coming film, "Chargesheet". Mr Singh will play the role of the Home Minister in this murder mystery. While talking to the media Dev Anand said that, his new film is a murder mystery which stars, besides himself, some new faces.

 

Clarifying more on his latest film he said that, it is all about believable fiction based on murder, corruption, police and the underworld. The film would be ready in two months and would be released in September, on his birthday, Dev Anand added. Dev Anand said it was a political role, which he thought a politician should do. Since he knew Mr. Amar Singh he offered him the part. Looking pleased, Mr. Amar Singh said that, he was a fan of Dev Anand and it was an honour for him to act in his film.

 

When asked by media about his political ambition in Samajwadi Party, Dev Anand made it clear that, he would not campaign for the party or any other party in the Lok Sabha elections. Recalling his association with Janata Party after the end of Emergency the hero of yesteryear said that, it was not his cup of tea.
