According to a new study, a cup of aloe juice, nutritious milkshake and herbal tea can be a better replacement option for heavy breakfast. These drinks are rich in everything which is required for energy, nutrition and hydration.
 
Gu Linong, director of the Department of Endocrinology at Peking University People's Hospital and a member of Herbalife Nutrition Committee, said: "This combination has a scientific foundation, though it runs counter to traditional ideas of a healthy breakfast."
 
A healthy breakfast should be made up of carbohydrates, fat, protein, vitamins and minerals, water and fibre. According to Gu, all these drinks are rich sources of all the vital elements.
 
He said: "The three cups provide enough nutrition and energy and it's low-fat, low-calorie and low-cholesterol".
 
Aloe juice is known for its laxative properties, which can help in the elimination of accumulated overnight, where as the special milk shake is rich in protein powder and milk or soybean milk, with fruit or nuts. This acts as the source of energy and nutrition. Green or black tea can help to boost metabolic rate.
 
Nutritionist Du Xin, who has been drinking breakfast for over two months, insists that it does not leave a person hungry.
 
He said: "No, you won't be hungry. It provides enough nutrition, can effectively control weight, keep the body in shape and solve constipation problems."
