KR Kamath, who was earlier working as Executive Director of Bank of India (BOI), has been appointed as the CMD of Allahabad Bank. Allahabad Bank based at Kolkata is one of the oldest banks in India. Mr Kamath is replacing AC Mahajan who was the CMD for quite some time. Mr Kamath is a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers

 

Incidentally, AC Mahajan was assigned the job of CMD of Canara Bank recently. Mr Kamath is an experienced banker and has the experience of three decades, before BOI he worked with Corporation Bank in different capacities.
