India’s Sania Mirza is seeded 32nd as per the WTA Rankings. It is after a three-month rest following a wrist injury that Sania Mirza has returned to this tournament at the beginning of the grass-court season.
It goes without saying that the Indian tennis ace will be all upbeat and confident about making a remarkable initiation to the Wimbledon this time around. Sania Mirza got defeated at Birmingham and the Ordina Open, but is expected to have an easy win against the 146th ranked Columbian rival on Tuesday. The real test for Mirza will come after this, as she has never before managed to cross the second round in Wimbledon. Sania Mirza will be facing a possible challenge against Venus Williams in the third one.
