Brazilian defender Alex Rodrigo Dias da Costa has signed a new four year deal with the Premier League leaders Chelsea Football Club.
Alex who was delighted with the new deal is yet to play under the new coach Carlo Ancelotti.He has been sidelined due to a groin injury.
Carlo Ancelotti speaking about the new deal said,"I am very happy Alex has signed a new contract. He is just returning from surgery but he is a player I know well. I am familiar with his fantastic qualities."
Chelsea has also secured striker Salomon Kalou on a new three-year deal on Monday.
