Initially when this lady had done her first flick with ace director Mani Ratnam’s ‘Iruvar’ in 1997 Aishwarya Rai had created a great furor in the Tamil film industry but lapsed in winning with her lesser specialization in the local Tamil language.

 

But now after her thirteen years reign in the filmdom she has adapted the skills in speaking Tamil in much proficient way to impress enough to Ratnam’s delight as he doesn’t have to go through the hassle of dubbing her voice in local version of ‘Ravana.’

 

This time personally she has took the challenge to dub her own voice in Tamil language and on to this account a source highlighted, “Just when Raavana was beginning, Aishwarya assured Mani sir that by the time the film was completed, she would be ready to dub her own lines for the Tamil version. Mani sir took the matter lightly and had arranged for a Tamil voice which matched the actress’ voice perfectly. But Aishwarya had made up her mind. She kept laughing off Mani sir’s uncertainties about her ability to get the Tamil diction right, and continued working on her language skills.”

 

To give an edge to her pronunciation in Tamil language even a special tutor has been arranged for her and by the time of six months Ash had cultivated the finery in the art of speaking Tamil with perfection.

 

Now none can make out her previous flaws and will be surprised to hear her speak perfect Tamil, a film source reported, “Aishwarya has completed dubbing the Hindi version of Raavana. Now she has now begun dubbing for the Tamil version. No one can tell from her voice that she isn’t a Tamilian.”
