Aisha and I Hate Luv Storys are the two most awaited movies especially by the urban audiences. The movies have their own USP’s and propositions to cater to the hopes of the viewers.

Aisha’s first promo was posted online only three days ago, it has unbelievably witnessed one lakh clicks just within 24 hours. It is the most awaited film especially by the urban audience.

On the other hand, influenced by the Mills & Boons romance, I Hate Luv Story’s is another addition for the same category viewers.

Aisha and I Hate Luv Stories stars Sonam Kapoor and both the movies are set to pose a tough competition to each other.

It is always difficult to predict audience’s reaction, as lately the sequel of the movie ‘Sex And The City failed to mesmerize the Bollywood audience. The movie also talks about the happening life of the urbanites and Aisha and IHLS are also on the same lines.

While the director of Aisha, Rajshree Ojha feels that the Indian audience is ready for chick flicks. Aisha is apparently inspired by novel ‘Emma’ by Jane Austen.

The debutante director adds “Indian cinema had not tried it out until now probably because the genre is all about urban women with minds of their own. But as more and more women turn financially independent and begin to make their own decisions, films that indulge them or sometimes reflect their lives (on a lighter note) are going to be made.”

When compared IHLS to the concept of chick flicks, the director of the movie Punit Malhotra says “Love is a universal emotion but the idea of the emotion, but what romance means to Sonam’s character is something that women will be able to connect with.”

While Rajshree Ojha says a movie should be aspirational also and adds. “Chick flicks usually offer a slice of women’s lives, with some aspirations thrown in. So while the wit and humour may flow when we gang up with the girls as it does in a Sex and the City, we all aspire to someday sport those Guccis and Pradas. It is fun to let go every now.”

So, both the movies offers the same colors but in different forms, the concept of chick flicks may be the same for both the movies, but the way of presentation is certainly going to be different.
