Indian telecommunication major, Bharti Airtel, has launched its m-Commerce service, ‘mChek On Airtel’, on Wednesday. This service will provide the Airtel subscribers to make the payment of their Airtel mobile as well as fixed-line bills on the voice platform.

The m-Commerce service platform can also be used by the Airtel pre-paid connection users to recharge their account. The DTH accounts can also be recharges via this service. ‘mChek On Airtel’ can also be used at the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway toll tags through Interactive Voice Response.

The Airtel customers have to call 543219 to access the service, which is toll free. The ‘mChek On Airtel’ will provide the users to obtain the secure IVR for m-Commerce transactions in a seamless fashion.

"There is a tremendous potential for voice enabled m- Commerce services in India and we are giving a huge thrust in this area. We believe that m-Commerce has the power to facilitate a paradigm shift in the way mobile users do commercial transactions and business in future," Bharti Airtel President (Mobile Services) Atul Bindal said.

The customers have to create a six digit mChekPIN for themselves and then the Mastercard/VISA credit card has to be linked.  The PIN has to be quoted for any transactions the customer makes over the m-Commerce platform, so that the transaction will be authorised.
