Bharti Airtel, a major Indian private telecom operator, has launched two schemes on Sunday, which will enable the US callers to call India at a cheaper rate. These schemes are part of Bharti’s festive season plans.
This scheme provides the US callers with 1,353 minutes calls with $24.99.
"It also comes with a validity of six months so a user can buy the plan during this festive season and can use it till the Holi festival in March next year," Bharti Airtel said in a statement.
The second plan will enable the people in US to make calls o any toll free number in India at a rate of 2.50 cents per minute. A voucher of $14.99 will provide 400 minutes talk time with a validity of 30 days.
"Airtel Callhome (the company's international long-distance calling service) has new features for US consumers including auto recharge, free SMS from the web and audio conferencing facilities. Subscribers will be able to buy the online calling card for $10 through the Airtel website," the statement said.
