A US district court in Washington State has summoned Air India in a multi-million dollar lawsuit filed by Anthony Keyter, former manager of Boeing. Keyter, has sought compensation and amends from Air India for allegedly violating aviation laws and affecting safety of the flight.
Keyter was posted in India for two and a half months in 2005 as a senior instructor. It was a part of the Boeing’s programme to train Air India pilots after placing a deal worth more than $ 11 billion. Keyter charges that during his stay in India, he noticed regular violations of aviation laws by Air India. This was having an adverse affect on flight safety and putting the lives of people in danger.

The lawsuit says that the violations occurred under the order of Air India’s management and many of them with full acquaintance and sanction of V Thulasidas, the then Chairman and Managing Director of Air India.

Keyter also alleges that he was harassed and Boeing Company set up unwarranted disciplinary action against him for giving safety report to Air India, which shed light on violations.
