Air India has announced an introductory offer of Rs 5000 for one-way in the Delhi-Kolkata route. According to company sources, the basic fare has been kept at Rs 1,675. After addition of Rs 3,325 as surcharge and taxes the total fare would be Rs 5000.

 

Evidently, the introductory offer would be valid till December 31. The introductory price would be available in the Air India flight AI-101 which would leave Kolkata at 8.00 PM and reach Delhi at 10.05 PM daily. Similarly, the return flight would leave Delhi at 7.15 PM and reach Kolkata at 9.20 PM.

 

Air India, after the merger with Indian Airlines, operates as the National Aviation Company of India Limited (NACI). The introductory price from AI has come after the statement from Aviation Minister Praful Patel that Airlines should show real fares on their advertisement.
