The organizers of the “Agro Tech 2008”, the biennial agro-technology and business fair, are expecting an increased international participation this time. The eighth edition of the fair will start in Chandigarh from November 28-December-01.
AGROTECH 2008 has been designed to carry forward the legacy of the previous shows as India's Premier International Agro Technology Fair. It would not only showcase the latest and most effective agriculture trends worldwide, but would also be the medium of effective interaction between agri-technology and its potential consumers. Apart from International Conferences, it has 7 concurrent shows: Agri Expo, Agri Services Showcase, Biotech, Dairy Expo, Farm Tech, Food Expo and Poultry & Livestock Show.
According to Mr. Gautam Thapar, chairman Agro Tech-2008, this year, seven countries, Italy Germany, Canada, Spain, the UK, Japan and the Netherlands will participate in this event. Among the products, they will showcase in the fair, include farm equipment, cattle feed, processed food and post harvest technologies.
Besides, the Agro-Tech 2008 will have 204 stalls and the authorities are expecting over 15,000 farmers from states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to visit the event. The organizers are also expecting the presence of an improved figure of high-level international delegations.
