Taking into account the use of bicycles in a number of recent terror attacks across India, for instance the one that took place in Jaipur, the police in Agra has banned the parking of bicycles anywhere around the Taj Mahal. This measure was taken because the Taj Mahal has long been on the hit list of the terrorists, who keep coming up with newer ways to unleash mayhem.   

 

The security provided to this magnificent world famous monument came under the scanner after 15 of its 32 security cameras installed in the premises got stolen recently. As such, it was decided that the security in and around the Taj Mahal needs to be tightened. At other important tourist places like Varanasi, the police had made it mandatory for those buying cycles to produce identification, which shopkeepers need to verify.
