‘Agneepath’ Remake Goes To Dharma Productions  Karan Johar |
Amitabh Bachchan acted in the super-hit movie, ‘Agneepath’ and won a national award too. Now, Karan Johar is heading for its remake.
Since a long time, the remake for the movie, ‘Agneepath’ was under construction and finally Karan’s Dharma Productions is going to be the one to take it forward. While Karan Johar will take care of the production work, Karan Malhotra is finalized to direct the movie.
Karan Malhotra was the associate director in ‘My Name Is Khan’.
Karan Johar confirms, “Yes, Dharma has green-lit the remake of AGNEEPATH. But it's not a scene to scene remake of the original that was produced by my father [Yash Johar]. It's an adaptation and restructured version of that film, which has been penned by Karan Malhotra along with two more writers."
The director has been finalized for the movie, but there are some speculations about the star cast. It is heard that Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor are offered the lead role, but Karan denies the gossip.
Karan adds, “We were waiting for the script to get completed. The next step would be to approach the actors. However, we haven't approached anyone yet.”
