A recent study undertaken at the University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands has revealed that exercising is the key to sharpen brain among ageing adults. A daily dose of aerobic exercise will considerably boost mind power in adults, according to the latest research. Maaike Angevaren, the study author remarked that aerobic exercises which improve cardiovascular fitness are also responsible for boosting cognitive processing speed, visual and auditory attention and motor function in healthy ageing adults.    
 
The research came to the conclusion after 670 adults of 55 years and above underwent fitness and cognitive function tests. The study revealed that an improvement in cardio respiratory fitness in these individuals corresponded with improvements in cognitive functions. The individual’s cognitive speed and audio and visual attention especially improved after they indulged in aerobic exercises. Some time back another study undertaken at Illinois had revealed that even mild aerobic exercising has the power to sharpen brain and improve ‘decision making’ and ‘focus’ in growing adults.
