Acer has launched a new series of smartphones at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. As many as four smartphones have been introduced by Acer including M900, F900, X960 and DX900. The new Acer M900 is pre-installed with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, Outlook, Mobile email and Office Mobile. The handheld Acer smartphone enables the users to access their contacts and files through synchronization with a notebook or desktop computer.
The M900 incorporates HSDPA connectivity for fast data transfer. The 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen of the smartphone allows the users exceptional web browsing experience. Apart from these, Acer M900 comes with a number of other features including GPS, FM Radio, voice recorder and voice commands. There is a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera in M900.
The F900 variant comes with a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen and touch keyboard. Acer claimed that F900 is designed to display more information on screen while offering an excellent mobile browsing experience. Like its other variant, F900 also offers an integrated 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera with flash, GPS, FM Radio, voice recorder, voice commands, expandable memory, and 3.75G HSDPA/HSUPA and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The X960 comes with a high-resolution 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen and five-way navigation button. This variant of smartphone provides reliable positioning and easy navigation with its embedded GPS functionality. It also includes all the features available in other variants of Acer. The company claimed that The DX900 is the world's first dual-SIM smartphone to support both 3.5G (HSDPA) and 2.75G (EDGE) SIM cards. The DX900 also borrowed the top features of other variants.
