Leading computer manufacturer Acer has launched two new eMachine laptops, D525 and D725, in Indian market. Of the two notebooks, eMachine D525 is equipped with Intel Celeron processor. The other one, eMachine D725 comes with dual core Pentium processor. The newly lunched notebooks will perfectly suit the people who are looking for affordable laptop computers.
 
The eMachine D525 boast of a 14-inch LCD display with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1366x768 pixel resolution. The notebook comes with an integrated 0.3 megapixel Webcam. In addition to these, eMachine D525 features Intel Celeron M900 mobile processor with dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM, 160GB HDD and 8xDVD-Super Multi double-layer drive. The new notebook carries a price tag of Rs 24,999.
 
On the other hand, eMachine D725 features integrated 'low-luminance enhanced' webcam, touch pad pointing device and quick launch keys. This model of laptop also comes with 14-inch display. The notebook uses dual-core Intel Pentium T4200 processor with dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM. Apart from these, D725 is equipped with 160GB HDD, and 8xDVD-Super Multi double-layer drive. The new eMachine D725 will be available for a price of Rs 27,999.

Both the entry-level laptops come with Windows Vista with Service Pack 1. The laptops offer pre-installed eMachine Comprehensive Security Bundle, which includes 60-day trial copy of Norton 360 All-in-One Security. Acer has acquired Gateway and eMachines OEMs in 2007 and is selling the computers through respective brands as part of its global strategy.
