Acer has announced the launch of its latest Dual-OS Netbook called the Aspire One D250 in India. This will be the first such product offering both Android and Windows OS together
 
S. Rajendran, CMO Acer India, said, "Acer is the global leader in the Netbook category. As leaders it is our intent to continually invest into the category with a view to enhance the offering to the consumer. The dual OS Netbook is a 4th generation Netbook from the Acer stable and clearly reinforces our leadership position to the consumer and trade. We are now building on our existing portfolio by giving the consumer more choice in this category, by offering the firstAndroid based OS netbook. We are confident of maintaining our leadership in the Netbook category, with continued innovation & constant endeavor to deliver the best to our customers."
 
The Android OS will give the Aspire One D250 a clear edge in faster connections to the internet and increased access to productivity. Apart from that, the new netbook has rich entertainment applications associated with it.
 
Android OS also helps the netbook to boot up and shut down the unit quickly. The netbooks can start in 18 seconds and can log out in 3-seconds.
 
The dual-os netbook runs with Windows XP Home and the users can enjoy the media streaming through Adobe Flash Player 10 installed with it.
 
The Aspire One D250 netbook is available at a price of Rs. 16, 999 excluding the taxes.
