Acer and Intel have unveiled the Aspire Timeline Series (ATS) of light-weighted notebook models in India. The new models of notebooks are based on Intel's Ultra-low Voltage (ULV) platform and have over eight hours of battery life. The new laptop uses power smart adapter which saves 1,752 watt per year. When the battery is fully charged, the power smart adapter enters the adaptive charging mode automatically and thereby stops consuming energy.
 
While interacting with the media, MD of Acer India, W S Mukund claimed that the ultra thin and ultra light notebook series offer all-day computing. The notebook incorporates laminate wall jet technology that uses aerodynamic to ensure proper cooling. It features LED backlit display with 16.9 aspect ratio and 1366 X768 HD resolution. There are three models available under the Aspire Timeline Series. While the Aspire 3810 T is priced at Rs 39,999, Aspire 4810 T carries a price tag of Rs 42,999. The last model, Aspire 5810 T will be available at a price of Rs Rs 44,999. 

All the laptop models come with a glossy fine tip keyboard and a multi-gesture touch pad. In addition to these, the notebooks feature a built-in Wi-FI/Wi-Max functionalities, a webcam optimiser for low light conditions and a dolby sound room. W S Mukund expects that the new series of notebooks will contribute about 20-30 percent of the revenue. He added that the new product is targeted towards students, SMBs and those who travel a lot.
