Just before Raavan’s release, rumors have started to crop up. It is said, that the movie is based on the creative application of the Hindu epic.

The movie’s name Raavan itself suggests, its relation to Ramayana. But, it is not the case and ‘Raavan’ is the nick name of character ‘Beera’, played by Abhishek Bachchan

Rumors say, that the main character of the movie is inspired by Maoist leader ‘Khobad Ghandy’. Again Bachchan has a say on this and he adds “, “Beera is not inspired by any real-life personality. What makes me feel proud about the film is that it is a unique piece of work. I must thank Mani for giving me this character.”

There have been many comments that Raavan is a modern adaption of Ramayana and characters in the movie are inspired from Ramayana.
