Oscar award winning A.R. Rahman, who became famous with Slumdog Millionaire in 2009, has got the Golden Globe recommendation for Danny Boyle’s biographical film 127 Hours. Slumdog has won many Oscar awards earlier, and this film will be the second Hollywood works of Rahman in contention for the prestigious award.

While whole Bollywood is happy over his nomination, director Shekhar Kapur wrote, “ AR Rahman nominated for Golden Globe for 127 Hours score. Marching to another Oscar?” 127 Hours includes songs like If I Rise, which is a combined effort by Rahman and Dido.

127 Hours film is based on the story of mountaineer Aron Ralston, who gets trapped for about 5 days in a canyon as a rock falls on his right arm. Finally he gets himself free. Amidst all the busy things, complimenting Rahman for his great music work Aron Ralston wrote, “For A.R, Thank you for bringing your amazing music to my story - if only I had your soundtrack in the canyon, I could've lasted another 127 hours. Best Wishes, A.R. (Aron Ralston).”

A.R. Rahman has got the Padma Bhushan award this year from Indian government, and other two gramophones at the 52nd Grammy Awards.
