3 Idiots
3 Idiots
Director: Rajkumar Hirani
Cast: Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, R. Madhavan, Boman Irani

‘3 Idiots’ is one of the most entertaining movies of the decade that is sure to make you laugh your heart out. The movie is based on the simple theme but is presented in such a fine and delicate manner that you feel it hard to take your eyes off the screen even for a minute. Rajkumar Hirani proves himself a magician in creating the same magic of ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’. After spreading the message of ‘Jaadu ki Jhappi’ and ‘Gandhigiri’ Rajkumar Hirani brings out a new code of mantra ‘Aal izz well’ in his newest flick, ‘3 Idiots’.

Loosely based on Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller ‘Five Point Someone’, ‘3 Idiots’ is a movie of universal appeal which succeeds in touching every heart. Though you may feel the déjà vu of ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ but not even once will you be disappointed with this repetition. Instead you will find the novelty even in these similar scenes.

Like always Rajkumar Hirani brings out a message in this movie too, which is swathed with the quintessence of chasing your dreams and living your life on your terms. The movie tracks the lives of three boys of a high-end engineering college rising up against the current Indian education system. Rajkumar Hirani gives you the 50’s feel, for the movie and asserts his epistle, without at even one point, sermonizing.

The most important crowd-pulling element of the movie, Aamir Khan does it again. He plays his character with such élan that you forget his old movies and even Aamir Khan, himself. All you remember is the character Rancho, overshadowing everyone and providing the much-needed back-bone to the movie. Boman Irani is the same disciplinary character as he was in ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and has taken his character ahead this time with his well- portrayed mannerism. R Madhavan has done an excellent job and Sharman too has matched the performance with mettle and panache. Kareena Kapoor is her usual self in the movie and does nothing to impress the audience.

Beautified with performances, 3 Idiots is a good watch which is sure to leave you with a smile and mantra “All izz well”. The only pitfall is the length however the screenplay writers Abhijat Joshi and Hirani, manage to glue you to even a 20 reeler 3-hours movie. So if you want to watch the “I Do it On My terms” you are on!
