The 26th International Population Congress kicked off in Morocco on Sunday which will be carrying discussions on issues like migration and the economic crisis as well as other problems related to population.
Moe than 200 demographers from across 114 nations are participants of the 5 day event, which kicked off yesterday in Morocco. Discussion on 200 plus topics will be held, which will cover issues including population change, migration, global climate change, economic crises, the imbalance of fertility rate and social security system.
The global conference is sponsored and conducted by the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population and the Moroccan government.
This is the first time that the quadrennial congress is being held in an African country.
