General Motors has unveiled 2010 Chevy Cruze which will be on sale in Europe from March next year onwards. The car is in mid range of its own products, i.e. it is larger than existing Cobalt and smaller than Malibu. The car will be shown in next months Paris Auto show. The firm conveyed that European customers will have a choice to buy either 1.6L & 1.8L gas engines or a newly developed 2.0L 150hp turbodiesel engine.
2010 Chevrolet Cruze has used a new and progressive design for its quality interior. The luxury car is well carved with soft-touch materials. Its grained surfaces and low gloss trim panels do show the grandeur of the car. Also, every effort has been taken to harmonize interior and exterior of the car. The firm has targeted European market as it has been the brands fastest growing market through the first half of 2008.
Chevy Cruze has gasoline engines featuring variable valve timing (VVT) on both inlet and exhaust sides, which gives more power. Also, it makes it fuel efficient and lower emissions car. Its five-speed manual gearboxes and newly developed automatic transmission make it first six-speed application in the compact segment cars. Production of the Cruze will be done at Lordstown in North America.
