Ashutosh Gowariker's historical romance 'Jodhaa Akbar' won as many as 10 awards including the best movie at the 10th edition of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) award ceremony held at Macau on Saturday (June 13). The extravagant cine event was attended by over 12000 guests. Hrithik Roshan walked away with the best actor award while Ashutosh Gowariker bagged the best director award for the film 'Jodhaa Akbar'.
Bollywood's sizzling actress Priyanka Chopra won the best actress award for her performance in Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Fashion' while her co-star Kangna Ranaut grabbed the best supporting actress award at IIFA. Veteran actor Rajesh Khanna was honoured with the IIFA lifetime achievement award. He received the trophy from IIFA Brand Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan.
The IIFA actor of the decade went to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan while Aishwarya Rai grabbed the actress of the decade award. Music maestro AR Rahman won the award for music of the decade while Rakesh Roshan bagged the director of the decade award. IIFA movie of the decade award went to 'Lagaan'. Asin and Farhan Akhtar won the debut stars of the year awards.
Singer Javed Ali walked away with the best male playback singer award for the song Jashn-e-bahaara' in 'Jodhaa Akbar' while Shreya Ghoshal was named the best female playback singer for 'Teri ore' in 'Singh is Kinng. The 10 edition of the grand IIFA awards ceremony witnessed some mind-blowing performances by Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan Bipasha Basu, Anoushka Sharma, Govinda and others.
