The 2009 Audi S4 Sedan was unveiled for the first time recently prior an appearance at the Paris Auto Show this October. The Audi has used in its S4 a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. To hit the North American market for sale sometime in the middle of next year, it will become the second Audi model after the A6 to have this new engine.
In the meantime that Audi develops 290 horsepower in A6, the 90-degree unit has been improved with added boost pressure to give the new S4 a more muscular 333 hp. A freshly created version of Audi's Quattro four-wheel-drive system made it possible to channel the drive to all four wheels. Those buying the 2009 Audi S4 can choose between a typical six-speed manual or a brand new seven-speed double clutch gearbox.
The handling of the new 2009 Audi S4 Sedan has been bettered by using a fresh platform structure that enables an even distribution of weight along with adaptive damping for the first time. The new S4 has been differentiated from the A4 models through a more subtly designed body. It also sports a deeper front bumper, wider sills, high-intensity xenon headlamps with distinctive LED daytime running lamps, a small trunk deck spoiler, aluminum-look exterior mirror housings and taillamp graphics.
