The 11th annual Osian's-Cinefan Film Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema, which is slated to kick off on Oct 24, will be concentrating more on Indian movies.
"Osian's-Cinefan's young friends Vishal Bhardwaj, Imtiaz Ali, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee along with their wonderful star actors and technicians will directly present in NewStream (Cinema Section) the emerging new face of Indian cinema through their films that have won both critical and popular acclaim," said Mani Kaul, the director general of the film fest.
"This year the film festival will realise its true objective of integrating and disseminating art knowledge by merging with Osian's radically original educational initiative called Osian's learning Experience (OLE)," he added.
The movies which have been acclaimed as a breakthrough in Indian movie history will be premiered at NewStream Cinema Section. Indian filmmakers will also get a chance for interacting with the audience by means of Q&A sessions, lectures, panel discussions and seminars.
The films will be screened at the Siri Fort Complex and Alliance Francaise.
