The petrol variants of Tata Indigo are powered by 1396 cc MPFI engine with 32-bit microprocessor, which pumps out a power of 85 PS @ 5500 rpm and maximum torque of 122 Nm @ 3500 rpm. On the other hand are the diesel variants of the automobile, equipped with a 32-bit microprocessor based 1396 cc DICOR (Direct Injection Common Rail) 16-valve engine, delivering a maximum output of 70 PS @ 4000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 1800-3000 rpm. The engine of diesel-driven Indigo comes with Dual Over Head Camshafts and a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT).

The simplistic and contemporary design of Tata Indigo stands up to the expectations of the average Indian buyer. The car is adorned by dual beam headlamps and top-down tail lamps. The price of Tata Indigo ranges from Rs 4.75 lacs to Rs 5.90 lacs (approx). The car is available in a number of colors, including Carbon Black, Arctic Silver, Mint White, Sunrise Pearl, and Starry Grey.
