Engine
Maruti Versa is powered by 16-valve, 4-cylinder, 1298 cc petrol engine that generates maximum power of 82 bhp @ 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 102 Nm @ 3000 rpm. Controlled by a 16-bit Engine Management System, the engine is very powerful and responsive. The meta-tech engine is equipped with 1.3-litre MPFI ignition system as well.
Design And Comfort
Maruti Versa is equipped with several innovative features. Trendy body graphics and bumpers, together, make stunning exteriors. Adding to the beauty are its sparkling headlights that artistically merge with the front grill. Apart from this, the MUV is equipped with a cool rear-view mirror. The micro-van is designed to give the appearance of a big, luxurious car. The space between first and middle rows can be adjusted by sliding the front row seats. Bucket type seats, with reclining facility, ensure a comfortable ride for the second row occupants. The bench seat easily folds down into a table. Heavy luggage can be easily accommodated within the Versa by a simple fold down and somersault of the third row seat. This way, a comfortable and pleasurable trip is ensured by Versa.
Interiors
The interiors of Maruti Versa are quiet attractive. Its flexible seating arrangement provides ample legroom. The vehicle is equipped with side pockets on the doors. To ensure a cushioned comfort, there is a molded carpet, with felt under-layer. With a classy instrumental cluster, Versa comes with twin AC (DX2 variant) for uniform all round cooling. Safety
The rear doors of Maruti Versa are equipped with outstanding child lock system, based on a molded key with 1500 combinations, providing utmost safety for kids riding in it. The dynamic safety surround system of this vehicle comes with height adjustable head restraints, ELR type seat belts, and side impact absorbing beams in all the four doors. The collapsible steering column safeguards its occupants from collisions. Cornering stability is provided by the anti-roll bar and rebound spring. The brakes of Versa are highly reliable in slow moving traffic and during emergency stops.
Variants, Price And Color
Apart from the standard model, the vehicle is available in two more variants - DX and DX2. The micro-van is available in both, five and eight seater versions. The launch price of Maruti Versa standard was Rs 5.15 lakhs in Delhi showrooms, while the other two variants came with a price tag of Rs 5.45 lakhs (DX2 model) and Rs 5.80 lakhs (SDX), respectively.
