Maruti Suzuki Eeco, a five-door C-segment Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV), was launched in India in early 2010. With a launch price of meager Rs 2.59 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), Eeco seemed to be a stiff competitor to other vehicles in its class. The petrol-driven Maruti Suzuki Eeco is powered by 1196 cc engine, which is capable of delivering maximum output of 73 bhp at 6000 rpm, with a peak torque of 101 Nm at 3000 rpm. The engine of the car is designed in such a way that it performs well even at low and mid range speeds. High Pressure Fuel Injection System, Knock Sensors, Compression Ratios, Crank Sensors, and Low Friction Pistons are the latest engine technologies incorporated in the all new Maruti Suzuki Eeco, to provide better fuel efficiency and drivability.

For superior handling and driving comfort, the car is supported by McPherson strut suspension at the front and 3-link rigid suspension system in the rear.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco complies with the latest safety regulations, thereby ensuring all-round safety to its passengers. Side impact bars, crumple zones and energy absorbing materials are the advanced safety features of the car. Seat belts are provided for all the seats.
