Engine
Under the hood of Hyundai Terracan lies the 2.9-liter CRDi (Common Rail Direct Injection) four-cylinder diesel engine, which churns out a power of 150 PS @ 3800 rpm and maximum torque of 33.94Kgm @ 2000 rpm. The turbo-charged and inter-cooled diesel engine has been designed to provide the combination of power, performance and fuel economy.
Design And Comfort
The design of Hyundai Terracan is a blend of sturdy exteriors and luxurious interiors. The muscular stance of the SUV is enhanced by prominent side cladding and wheel arches, which provide a layer of protection from debris and nicks. The roof of the vehicle is fitted with rails, for additional storage space. The sporty roofline of Terracan is adorned by a sophisticated roof spoiler. The long and sturdy side steps prevent slipping during ingress and egress. Its ample leg and headroom and flexible seating provide a comfortable ride for seven people.
Interiors
The interiors of Hyundai Terracan look luxurious and spacious. The multi-vent control system of the fully automatic air conditioner keeps the temperature &blower speed at predetermined levels. Leather is used to give an elegant touch to the upholstery, door trim, armrests, gear knob, and steering wheel. Wood-grain finish on the central console, steering wheel, and door armrests look stunning. Small storage spaces are provided in the front and rear center armrest.
Ride And Handling
Hyundai?s superior engineering reflects in Terracan as well. The independent double wishbone, with torsion bar in the front and five link coil springs with anti roll bar in the rear, are specially designed to tackle the most challenging trails. To ensure smooth ride on rough terrain, Terracan has been equipped with telescopic gas and double acting type shock absorbers, which absorbs road shocks. Its Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) ensures optimum braking performance. The Limited Slip Differentials of Terracan detect slip in the rear wheel and haul the vehicle out of unsafe terrains.

Safety
The projection-type headlamps and fog lamps of Hyundai Terracan provide superior nighttime visibility. Its Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) prevents skidding on slippery roads as well as during uncontrolled braking. Side impact forces are absorbed by the front and rear doors, which are reinforced with special high tensile strength steel. The risk of chest injuries is reduced by seatbelt pretensioners, which come equipped with load limiters. The driver and front seat passenger are protected by dual air bags, which get deployed on collisions.

The only variant of Hyundai Terracan that is available in India is the 2.9 CRDi variant. The SUV is found in different colors such as noble white + medium silver, warm silver+warm gray, prime green + warm gray, sand stone+warm gray, husky gray+cool gray mica blue+cool gray and ebony black+cool gray. The launch price of the vehicle is Rs 18.49 lakhs.
