Fiat Grande Punto comes with three engine options - 1.2 petrol engine, 1.4 petrol engine and 1.3 multijet diesel engine. The 1.2 and 1.4 petrol engines offer maximum power of 68ps @ 6000rpm and 90ps @ 6000rpm, respectively, with the maximum torque being 96nm @ 2500prm and 115nm @ 4500rpm, respectively. The diesel engine, on the other hand, gives out a power of 76ps @ 4000rpm and a torque of 197nm @ 1750rpm. The dualogic transmission promises optimum performance, while the tractable nature of the engine makes the drive smooth and perfect.

Safety

The hatchback has been equipped with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), Fiat Code System rolling code and Dual stage front driver & passenger airbags. A unique safety feature of the car is that it deploys the air-bags depending on the severity of the impact. The car has also been laden with fire prevention system, which cuts off the fuel in case of an impact, so as to reduce the chances of fire. The front seats have load limiters, pre-tensioners and a fastened sensor.
