German luxury car manufacturer, Audi was established in 1910, with its headquarters in Ingolstadt, Germany. The carmaker became a subsidiary of automobile giant Volkswagen Group in 1964. Today, it has production locations in a number of countries, including Hungary, Brazil, Belgium and China. With the aim to cater to the super-rich consumers, Audi entered the Indian automobile business and began its operations as a subsidiary of Mumbai-based Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. Audi cars are imported as Completely Built Units (CBU) and then assembled in India, at the Aurangabad facility of Skoda Auto. The cars launched by Audi in India are regarded as a symbol of class, elegance and luxury. The vehicles included in the product line of Audi AG India include A4 (sedan), A6 (sedan), A8 (sedan), TT (coupe), R8 (super car/coupe) and Q7 (SUV).
